No terminals to buy and no paper timesheets to chase.

Offline clocking

Punches are saved on the phone first and sent exactly once, in order, as soon as there's signal. Staff can see anything still waiting to send.

GPS site check

Switch on a GPS check for each site. App clock-ins outside the radius ask for a reason and are flagged to the manager, never blocked.

Optional selfie

Ask for a photo at clock-in always, only off-site, or never. It's never used for face recognition and is deleted after the period you choose.

Late & no-show alerts

After a grace period, the employee and their manager get a push alert, and managers are emailed about no-shows.

Timesheets that build themselves

Clock-ins become timesheets to approve, reject or query, with a map of punches and the original times kept when anything is edited.

Overtime: paid or TOIL

Overtime is worked out beyond the shift, week or month. Choose per day whether it's paid or banked, or let staff pick in the app.

One exceptions queue

Off-site punches, missed clock-outs and late arrivals land in a single list to clear, not scattered across screens.

Questions about time & attendance

Do we need to buy clocking machines?

No. Staff clock in on their own phones through the WfMHub app, or on the website (website clock-ins record the IP address, not GPS). There's no shared kiosk or tablet mode, so everyone uses their own login.

What happens if there's no phone signal?

The app saves clock-ins and breaks on the phone first and sends each one exactly once, in order, when it reconnects; on Android it keeps trying in the background. A punch keeps the phone's own time if it reaches us within 72 hours.

Can you stop people clocking in from home?

Switch on the GPS check for a site and set its radius, from 25 metres to 5 km. App clock-ins outside it must give a reason and are flagged to the manager. You can also ask for a selfie at clock-in.

Does it run payroll?

WfMHub prepares payroll rather than running it: approved hours, overtime and holiday pay (using the 52-week average for irregular hours) become gross pay figures for your payroll provider, and can be pushed into Xero Payroll UK. It doesn't calculate PAYE or file RTI with HMRC.
